Do YOU Need a 3rd Quarter Performance Boost?

Primary Quarterly Goal:

  1. What is your Primary Q3 Goal?  (Hint: should be a set revenue amount or predetermined profit margin)
  2. Are you on “pace” (accomplishing the appropriate ratio of your goal according to how much time you have to accomplish it) for Q3?  Congrats if you are 🙂
  3. If you are not on pace for where you should be, why are you behind?
  4. What can you do differently, even this week, to change your pace for this quarter’s goal to be met?
  5. What changes can you implement to get back and stay on pace more consistently?

Secondary Quarterly Goals:

  1. What are your Secondary Q3 Goals?  (Hint: these are smaller goals to help you attain your primary goal.) List each of them.
  2. Are you on “pace” for each of these goals?  Congrats if you are 🙂
  3. If you are not on pace for each: where should you be AND why are you behind?
  4. What can you do differently, even this week, to change your pace for this quarter’s goals to be met?
  5. What changes can you implement to get back and stay on pace more consistently?

For the past week or so we have been discussing how planning and preparation are 2 or the most overlooked activities to assure your success. If you haven’t read these and put them into to practice yet, please click on these 2 highlighted words. But now I really want to talk about you assessing your Q3.

How do you know if your Q3 needs a Performance Boost?

If you don’t have solid data or records to answer the above questions you may need help with setting up your books to effectively track your production. If you do have the data, then it’s time to assess if you are on pace or not. Far too often business leaders aren’t leading their own businesses or departments. My questions for you: How can you effectively strategize if you don’t know your production numbers? Some times people ask me why I call these production numbers. I do so because it is a reflection of what you have produced or manifested.

Your productivity shouldn’t be about being busy. You can give yourself a performance boost by focusing precisely what delivers producing favorable results (to accomplish your goals). Thus, production is a true tell-tale measurement, especially if you are doing the correct activities to get the results you want.  Are you?

  1. Answer the Primary Goals and Secondary Goals Questions to assess if you need a Q3 Performance Boost. If so, take action immediately!

  1. Planning seems to be the message for me today. I have shifted and changed my business so many times. I feel like I am always starting again and again. That is because when I am planning something and it does not feel 100% right for me, I replan until it does feel right. So now with new information and new guidance I am adjusting my plan. Once I do that, it will all fall into place. Have a great week everyone!
